To all Incantor’s Guild Members and People of Faith,

In 1104 the Incantor’s Guild were told to leave our headquarters in Caer Dannon. Since then we have had no central place where Guild members can meet safely to exchange news and information, and from where we can operate our administrative functions.

I am very pleased to announce that the Tarantula Faction have offered us a new home – a piece of land on where we can build a new official headquarters for the Guild. From here we can co-ordinate the leadership and administration of the Guild and offer members and all those peoples of faith a safe place of ancestral worship upon Erdreja that is free from the constraints of political alliances.

At the end of the fourth month of 1109 the Tarantula’s faction will formally place this land in the stewardship of the Incantor’s Guild; therefore, together with the Tarantulas Faction, I am pleased to invite all those with faith, regardless of nation, to the Underdark city of Dyr Turic to attend a sacred rite that will awaken this place of worship.

To Guild members in particular I will say that it is your duty to attend so that you can witness the re-consecration of an ancient shrine to all the ancestors of Erdreja; and to see it unveiled as the centre piece of the new Incantors Guild facilities in the very nation that gave birth to Incantation itself.

To all Guild members seeking training,

Further to my announcement above I would like to inform all Guild members seeking training this year, that as the Inner Council will all be together for the consecration at Dyr Turic we will be using this opportunity to discuss and arrange our training resources.

Therefore any Guild members attending the dedication of our new headquarters will have the opportunity to make their training requests here as well as when we meet for the usual moots, fayre and gathering throughout the year. This type of Guild get-together gives the Guildmasters opportunity to get to know members much better and assess their existing skills.

Therefore if you are going to be requesting training from us, particularly in those skills where our resources are usually limited, it is another reason for you to travel to the city with us so that you can make your request early and we can give it the consideration it deserves.

You will, of course, still be able to make requests for training during other get togethers throughout the year and we will make final decisions about our resources as usual at the Gathering.

I've edited this post as my first post inferred that a player would not receive training unless they came to this event - that is definitely not the case and I apologise for that and the confusion it caused.

With all due respect, you want a Unicorn to walk into the Underdark? I've no problem with the Tarantulas as a faction, and I suspect I am not high on their list of threats, but there are hotheads in all factions and bad blood between mine and them. What assurance do we have of our safety in the lands of a faction famed for the skill of its assassins?

Evenstar, I myself asked this question and then realised if it is time for us to die then so be it. If it happens i'm sure there will be repercussions upon the tarantuala's as a faction and they wouldn't want that considering their strong links with the guild?

Take a breath and step into the underdark, then if we survive we can go home and tell tales of it till the next time the world tries to destroy us.

Oh well, I guess if the Path of Light can behave then the daggerboys probably can.

Evenstar, I understand your worries but we will be under the protection of the guild. Just as the Unicorns allowed the family of Tarantula alchemists to safely attend our meeting at Solemn Isle, I would expect no lesser hospitality from the Tarantulas.

And if you do die at least there'll be plenty of people to lay you to rest!

I have no issue with wandering into the Underdark. Always fun to see new things and places. Unfortunately, I have commitments and duties to attend to on Fort Hatfield, which prevent me from such an undertaking.

(OOC: This is rather annoying as as Guild Liason to the Lions I really should be there, but the amount of work I have to hand in for Uni the week after means I really can't make it.)
