I need to borrow the dark Shard.
Recently we learned of the route Entropy may have taken to attack Existence. Certain ancestors have further information on this and I hope to commune with them during the upcoming festival of Nicholasmasmas.
I cannot currently use the ritual magics required, and others wish to contact their own ancestors to ask further questions on this matter.
So, would it be possible to have access to the Shard?

Yes, I much preferred it when we walked out fine but were surrounded by piles of bleeding bodies... but that seems rare.

Do you get this thing about some ancestors not actually being ancestors but being "beacons" for contacting the Aspects??
It seems unusual to be told Satuun isn't an ancestor.

Think you'll find he is an acestor but is no longer considered an "embodiment".

I thought that there was the Embodiment of Evil, who was Evveron in Life and became Satuun when he killed himself to become an Unliving. But apparently that was not the Embodiment, that was the Aspect. And the Embodiment was walking around in Satuun the Ancestor until the cataclysm, when all the Embodiments were used to recreate Existance.
So (I've been told) the Embodiment is gone, and the Ancestor is there in order to contact the Aspect. Does that make sense to anyone else? I admit that it has me scratching my head.

I would have thought that someone like Satuun would be one of the oldest existing ancestors, given the power he wielded in life and what he created with it.

Haagen, would you please tell me what you know of Satuun as an Ancestor, or otherwise?

Satuun the ancestor has nothing to do with either the embodiment known as Satuun or the aspect of evil known as Evron. The ancestor called Satuun is a recent creation given form by the continued worship of the old Satuuns followers. As such this is the newest ancestor i know of and it has become apparent that it is niether a being linked to the aspects , nor does it retain the knowledge and powers of the embodiment. I am sure the ancestor in question would like to claim a continuance of the misguided belief that the old and new are linked as it would dearly like to keep those followers it now has. However that does not make it true. The ancestor now known as Satuun is completely new and this will become apparent to its followers over time.

On a further note, the embodiments were destroyed during the cataclysm and the aspects were deprived of thier sentience, they are now, once again, un sentient elemental forces and nothing more.

I can try to dig out some of my old notes over the winter if you like, but most of my library was donated to the great library earlier this year.
