Morgwyn.
Please bear in mind I don't speak for the guild. I'll leave a master or Cai-Lin our Arch High Incantor to give an official response. But this is my view.
I may be able to explain the light path following Lolthliriel - ((please bear in mind I can't spell for toffee))
Please do not write the name of that foul ancestor. Master Othgir will have a fit. He is termed the Gluttinous One. It does not help to use his real name.
The light faith are following Lolthliriel, Perecles of the Lions is now her champion. We the people of light faith of edreja made this decision there was a representative in some shape or form from each nation. We as a group debated which ancestor was right to follow to bridge the void that was needed to be filled.
At the tragic event, at where many of our number fell. That which was the meeting to siege Elvas. May the light bless their passing. A light messenger appeared demanding that a champion of the light be chosen, and that we rally behind an ancestor as the dark had done, in choosing Satuun. At the time Deowyn of the Tribe. I believe. Was chosen, she was slain the next day a tragic affair..
This news was brought to me at the first moot, for I was not in attendance at the siege I was required to help my kin in cleansing our circles. We met and decided to follow the trinity a move initiated my a strong population of persuasive harts. Perecles was also nominated at the first moot.
Come the GeF we realised this was not working and the idea of following principles and using our own ancestors was not working. We needed to change. The blessed lady, the one who gave us incantation, be that for good or bad. She who has been tainted and weakend but is regaining her true status through our faith and light. She stands for self sacrifice which is the true creed and way that we, that I, that those of the light stand for.
I have encountered her in my mind with visions at the tarantula's meeting previous to the first moot, and my faith in that the light faith of Edreja are now strong in what they are doing is staunch and ah believe we are strong. Strong enough to fight the akari and defeat them even if it means the end of us. We are the light faith, and we will stand strong.
As to the Incantors following her. I do not know that is up to Cai-Lin to decide. As a guild I highly doubt we will follow her as a whole, I can't see everyone being happy with the decision she still stirs stigma.
The light college, of which I am merely act as head of, at this moment are backing her and that is all I can confirm. The light faith following Lolthliriel, is different to the guild we merely agree or disagree and help or don't help. The faith is all of Edreja not just us. I pledged my help and strength to the light ancestors and many others have too.
But in my eyes the guild is neutral aiding the light of Lolthliriel and whomever the Dark now choose to follow. For that is our role, and our strength. In the past I believe bias has caused weakness in our guild, and now we are becoming strong again. In faith there is strength. The light is my path, it's a hard path to follow and Lolthliriel represents that. In taking the ways of a light incantor you sacrifice many blessings of the ancestors. But we take the gifts we are given and help to the best of our ability.
I apoligise if ah'm rambling ah'm terribly prone tae it.
I will be in the guild if you wish tae speak to me at the moot, ah'm the halfling in ah kilt.
Blessing tae your kin.
