Rite of Renewal and Rememberance

Please pass this message to your faction high incantors, unless they are here already.

At the gathering of nations, the ancestors have implored us to perform a rite of renewal and rememberance, one year on from the cataclysm. This is not a "good" or "light" thing, this is the wish of the ancestors in general and we must have representation from all factions and as many differing faiths as possible.

As part of the rite, I will require the high incantors of each faction to present and make available a scroll containing the names of all those of their faction who fell during the cadre war and the cataclysm. Please try and have these ready before the gathering.

If you wish to know more details please come and see me or Cai-Lin on the friday night or Saturday morning of the gathering as we intend to perform the rite in the market area during the afternoon, shortly after the sacred council.

I attended this rite, and heard its power be dedicated to Vulcan. I'm guessing this treacherous dedication worked, as a load of ancestor-demons of Vulcan then burst out of the void and attacked.

So what of the rite? Do we need to do a new one? Did it work despite the siphoning of some of its power? Is the new Edreja going to be founded on faith or not?

As far as I was able to ascertain in the immediate aftermath, the power stolen was only a small fragment and the rite was succesful. However, I have been unable to confirm this with the ancestors due to the loss of my ability to commune with them following the ritual performed at the Gathering by some very misguided souls.
