I believe that is were the cultural difference lies, my worth for that particular duty is not something i need to advertise myself.
If a female wants me, she will order me to go with her - or i will be ordered by my matron for whatever services or skills i am required to perform. Now once the negotiations are done, i would make sure i make a good impression - to earn the displeasure of a Drow female is not something anyone would wish for.

I know little of the Drow culture and don't wish to say the wrong thing, but you're a paladin, and that implies a certain heroism. So perhaps you'd do the same for one who you hold in esteem? |
Heroism is one thing, blindly rushing into combat is another. I serve Llolth, regularly i hear people say "i would die for my beliefs" however, we are taught that if Llolth wants us dead she would make sure it was so. If someone important to Llolth was taken, yes i would fight for the person who was needed, but i would plan, make sure that what we did was effective and competent - Not rush in blindly to save the one "i cared for"

I concur, one of many which keeps my research interesting. _________________ Lorr V'Rinn Paladin of Llolth

| Si, I think there's much of the cultural divides over that. Different qualities that are held in the high regards. And I have noticed that if someone is going to be a "rushing in blindly" type, they'll do that whatever the situation. Have you met Lord Death Machine, the leader of the Unicorns? He'll always act the same way. |

| I am truly horrified by marriage. My Sisters and Brothers believe in simply sharing ourselves with everyone therefore broadening our horizons and having fun. Tying ourselves down is a term for something very different to marriage. Shared wealth? My family provides for me and i return the gesture. Offspring? I suppose at some point in my families future a breeding pair may be found but as yet we hav not discovered one and we prefer it that way. Alfredo |

| Well, if people want to do it, it's their choice. I'm big on the freedom. |
