I would wonder why there is not a list of all the faiths followed across the heartlands? I would like to ask if the incantors here could post the name and aspects of there faith here so that all incators can know and respect all.

Brother Rommel, there are a number of publications containing knowledge of the ancestors but what each person has faith in differs even within the same ancestor. There are some ancestors who have many names, ancestors who work together in a pantheon and ancestors who stand alone. As a general rule you could name any of the 16 elements and there would be at least one ancestor to represent that element - if you would like to talk to me further about the faiths in Mauritania, or indeed in Edreja, please come and find me at the guild house at the Gathering where you can ask as many questions as time permits. If you have time enough, perhaps you could speak to the high incantor of each faction.

Meep, I do understand what you are saying but to fully understand those ancestors you must first know that they exist. As for the elements and each having one ancestor this might even be true although it could lead to some very unusual ancestors indeed! I will indeed seek you out discuss the ancestors of Mauritania, and those you know of worshiped on Edreja. When my studies at the ritual circle allow me to. Alexander, Some people like to worship in private and I can respect that but normally those of faith like to spread the word of there ancestor, would you be willing to describe your ancestor's articles of faith?

| I suggest that you concentrate on worshiping your own Ancestor Father Rommel and leave the worship of other peoples Ancestors to themselves, many Ancestors have very different ways of being worshiped whether it is loudly singing their praises or being quiet, i suggest that you do not inccur the rath of the people of faith around you and if you wish to find out more about Erdreja's Ancestors you do not go about it in such a bold and brash mannor people take the worship of their Ancestors seriously as i am sure you do also so i offer you this advice tread softly when it comes to the matters of faith especially when dealing with the worshipers of the less forgiving Ancestors. | I don't think Rommel tried to insinuate that they don't exist, I believe he just worded his statement thoughtlessly - he meant that as of yet he doesn't know what "options" there are to chose from. Unfortunately, ancestors don't really work in the same way as ice cream flavours, you will know in your heart what you have faith in and if you prove yourself to be worthy an ancestor may choose to grant you some power. |

Hamish I did not mean to say that any ancestor does not exist, I just wanted to know how many faiths are out there, To know is to understand. Gilzarn I think I understand what you are saying, not everyone wishes to discuss there faith, I did not mean to imply that all should discuss there ancestor and articles of faith, I just wondered what faiths were around that wished to be known publically. I just hoped that this would be the right forum for discussing such things. Meep I am happy that you can see what I am trying to say. I was hoping that that this topic would be warmly welcomed but it seems that people are not interested in discussing it. I'm not really interested in 'power' from my ancestor or any other, or in that matter from the guild. Maybe thats what people think I'm after, if so they could not be further from what I am seeking.

Father Rommel, Not many of the guild actually use these leys frequently. But i have found that people if they are speaking of their faith and of those they follow, they prefer to do it face to face. Also you tend to find over this medium of comunication words are left quite open to misinterpretation. As it believe it has been mentioned we shall all be coming together again in about 2 weeks, perhaps come down to where the guild is and introduce yourself. I'm sure there will be plenty down there who would be more then happy to speak with you. Till then Duana

As Duana has kindly pointed out pay a visit to the guild and ask your questions in a more diplomatic manner. After your comments about rituals over the weekend (I'm assuming you are the same brother who made such bold claims about yourself). I would also suggestion that you find out who you are speaking to/with before saying anything that might cause offence. As an old friend once pointed out "a harm too the face often offends". Please try to remember that those with faith (and almost everyone else) have passion and belief and should not be treated like the books you spend most of your time with. In faith and fire Haagen

Indeed there is a vast difference between yourself not believing and possibly insinuating they do not exist. Hamish? i believed we were a loving caring community full of like minded individuals all working for a similar cause. How would such an unforgiving person sneak into the ranks? I think my little Sack wearer has it correct though. A small visit and maybe a drinkie. Alfredo
